The one V's shoot very well. Got a friend with one in the new 204 Ruger and it's doing half inch groups.
I have a #1B in 243 and it's doing just less than inch groups. In all my years of shooting this is my first #1 and I've been using it as a coyote calling gun for the last five years with great success. With a couple of shells gripped between the fingers this gun is near as fast as a bolt gun. I really like it.

Mine shoots great. This is typical of the results I get with my handloads. These are Nosler 100 grain Ballistic Tips over a full case of Retumbo with CCI 200 primers. The link is what I did to mine to ensure consistent performance. The #1 can be a little challenging and best results are achieved when the shooter does everything in a repeatable manner.

This target was 150 yards.

There are a couple of other guys on the forum with #1 V models that might weigh in too but I haven't heard any negative words about the V in any chambering.

I shoot a #1v in a 25-06 and love it. Mine will shoot a pretty little cloverleaf at 100 yards (100gn nosler). I also shoot 85gn noslers with excellent results.Q

I just purchased a #1 in 25-06 with the standard 26 inch barrel. I have not shot it yet because scoping this rifle has been a little bit of a challenge. The standard rings place the scope too far forward. I purchased a set having the rear extension ring and this helps, but when you shop for a scope get the longest eye relief that you can. My choice was the 3x9 Leupold VXII.
