I've slugged the barrel on my recently acquired 8.16x46R Trieble Schuetzen rifle and it sizes at .311-.312". I'm planning to buy a bullet mold and need some help on bullet design. The prescribed method for loading the rifle is to first put the bullet in the chamber with a seating device and then put the loaded brass in the chamber. Having never done this I don't know if that method is still used. NEI shows a .316 with a schuetzen stop ring in their catalog but the dia. seems a bit too big. Can anyone guide me in this matter? Thanks.
