Hi,
I am new to the forum and have a great time shooting wildcats. I currently have a .358 Apollo. Its parent case is the .300 Win Mag necked to .358. The case length remains the same as the .300 WM. One of my favorite loads is 80gr of IMR4350, 250gr Speer Spitzer. My rifle is based on the Mauser 98 action. I have a Houge overmolded stock and Bushnell glass. My rifle was built in the 1970's by a outstanding custom gunsmith (My Dad).

Another favorite of mine is the 357/44 Bobcat Magnum. Built on a Blackhawk frame, the pistol shoots a .357 slug from a necked down .44 mag case. Loads of fun.

Has anyone on this forum ever heard of the .358 Apollo? I have another MAuser action and I'm trying to decide what the next wildcat will be.

Welcome Raptor

I know the caliber you refer to as the 35X300Win Mag only and have not heard of it for a long time. Never made one as I had a 35 Newton and a 358 Norma Mag.

I am shooting a bit longer case in 358Shooting Times Alaskan.

I have not heard of the 358 Apollo but it sounds like a good round. I also shoot the 358 STA and have 2 358/300 Ultra mags both are great rounds but a bit longer than the 300 win mag case.
