Thanks for the warm welcome, I probably shouldn't have made that post as my first but oh well. I am glad to be here and was wondering if there are any Hi Point owners here?

I'm sure there are several. Do a search on Hi Point handguns and you'll find a bunch of data. These have been talked about a bunch here.

I just bought a C9 with an extra mag about two weeks ago. I looked into it carefully as I am of meager means. Like I said in a prior post I have spoken to several Hi-Point owners who shoot with me during good weather and the only complaint was one who had a magazine problem. Lifetime guarantee and he sent his in and got it back pronto with two extra mags for his troubles. Accurate but like other posters indicated the slide is cast and that is a concern for some people. Other posters also state that every make and model at one time or another had broken down. Can't wait to shoot it but now we are under about two feet of accumulated snow where I live so it will be a while before that happens. The local gendarme have a problem with one firing at targets in the back yard!:o
