Is there much of a difference between the CZ P-01 and the Compact 75 .40?

I read a review from a guy who said he bought the P-01 9mm, loved it, and went back to buy the .40. The CZ site lists the P-01 as a new model and it doesn't appear to be offered in .40. Thought I'd ask you guys.

I like the P-01. Almost no other gun feels this good to me. (I'm a little iffy on being able to peel back the rubber grips at their edges but maybe that's a non-issue). The capacity is diiferent of course. The safety is different. One doesn't decock. Anyhow, are they more similar than different inside?
Thanks

I've got a CZ P-01. I love the pistol. The same pistol is made in 75 compact but does not have a rail for accessories. I imagine the 40 doesn't have one either but I'm no expert.
I put wooden grips on mine.

TPV, thanks for the holler. Where'd you find the grips? That's certainly an upgrade. The 75 compact 40's got a rail. Here's the linx.

See what I mean. They're almost twins. Just wondering how close they really are. Subtle but close I guess.

If you go back to Cz's web site and go into their chat room for pistols, you'll see all kinds of toys you can buy for the 75's
Good Luck

Nice one. I did email CZ. Maybe they'll give us some good info.

(Beautiful rifles. I've seen your pix. Takes a certain kind of guy to shoot a CZ. Those guns are born champions. On the heavy side for me when I get the 300 win mag. That still might not stop me though. Still tossing around the A-bolt/T3/or 550 Ultimate. I was surprised not to like the bolt on the T3 as much as most. A-Bolt was smooth and without much play. 550's got personality to go and it's drop dead georgous.)
