I am looking for a hog load for my G20 using either 200g hornady XYP's or 200g BTB. They are both loaded by Double Tap but I would rather load it myself. I want it to be in the 1200 fps range.
Thanks

10.0 grains of blue dot or 11.5 grains of AA#7 should put you around 1150.
Both are listed as MAX loads in Speer #12, so i'd start about 1gr less and work up to that level.

BTW, if you want to try it, That same manual lists a load of 14.0 grains AA#9 (also max- 1216 FPS), but I wouldn't recommend it.
I tried it with my 1076 and the primers were flattened pretty dramatically compared to AA and Blue dot. Tons more muzzle flash as well.

I used to use 13.4 gr AA#9 behind a 180gr LTC for 1200 fps shot from my G20 with LWD 4.6" barrel. Switched to Longshot (IIRC, 9.5 gr for 1250 fps) because of case capacity issues (Starline).
I think McNett has Blue Dot loads posted for 200 and 220gr bullets.
