View Full Version : Red Dot for Mini 14 Rancher
Anybody have any experience with an AimPoint or EoTech on a mini 14?
I would prefer the EoTech. The main reason is the eyes are not the same and want an optic that I can mount and acquire quickly for a shot out to 100 yards or so (i.e. running coyote, etc.)
Thanks.

I've shot my friends old mini-14 with one of the inexpensive red dot sights and it was just as accurate or inaccurate as with a scope or open sights as most mini's are. It was easy to shoot with the red dot.
I've an old Aimpoint 5000 that's been on several handguns and now is on my turkey shotgun and with a two minute red dot is very effective. I haven't used teh EoTech, but the aimpoint is vary fast and easy to use.
Here is the Aimpoint on a Ruger Super Redhawk.

It's now mounted on my Mossy 835 turkey gun.
