While reading the newpaper the other day, I kept smelling one of my wifes fragance candles but none of them was lit. I noticed that one of her candles in a jar was sitting on a small white looking plate and the candle was melted. It seems this was the one I was smelling. The small heating plate was just the right size for a quart jar candle to sit on and was equipped with an on/off switch. I thought to myself, what a neat way to warm and melt bullet lube. I bought one of these "candle warmers" from Walmart for six dollars and it works like a top. It generates just enough heat to melt wax but not burn it and is small enough to fit in a drawer out of the way. Now I can set my lube on the warmer and by the time I get ready to use it, it is nice and warm. Just thought I would pass this along. Cheap way to warm things and not burn them up or set the bench on fire.

I'm missing something - I never had a need to melt my lube. Why would one do that?

I do have a heater under my lubricator, but that warms the tool, not just the lube.

I use the Lee Alox lube and it helps to warm the bottle slightly before use. If you dip lube your bullets you can melt the lube with this warmer without worrying about burning it.

I found a new use for the little warmer. It keeps my coffee cup hot.
