Hey all this is MoMan, I'm new to this site so I thought I would toss out a quick thread to introduce myself!
I live in WNY with my wife of 35 years, we love the outdoors and I particularly like to shoot my guns. I belong to a local sportsmans club and that allows me plenty of opportunity to shoot whenever I want to.
We also own a small piece of property in the country that we get out to pretty much every weekend in the summer.
Not much else to say so I guess I'll just poke my nose around the different threads and see what's out there.
Talk to ya' later

Welcome to the forum. Rules are to join in and be polite and not post anything you'd be embarrassed to explain to an eight-year-old (we have some young readers).
Enjoy your time here. The members have a lot of experience you can draw on. Please contribute your own wherever it applies.

Hello MoMan - I'm going to assume that WNY is Western New York - is that right? I have an older brother that's in the finger lakes region for a couple of years, although I've never been out there. He says it's pretty country, but he doesn't much like his senators.:p Welcome.

Welcome - Western New York is pretty big. Can you narrow it down a little? I live in Owego, the bottom corner of the Finger Lakes Region. We have a local range called Tioga Shooter's Association. I need to renew my membership as it has expired. It's a pretty good place to shoot but they don't have range officers and the younger crowd shot up all the target stantions. It got to the point where you had to bring your own and set up so I just started shooting from the house. All you got for your membership was the bench and the back berm (and of course the other shooters to exchange BS with). Fortunately I live in the country and am "enhancing" my own range. I'm going to build a concrete shooting table in the spring. I can set up to shoot 300 yards. Couldn't do that at the range.

Thanks for the welcome...I lurked for awhile before signing up, this seems like a pretty good site with pretty good folks... what more can I ask for right??!!
WNY is Western New York.. We live in N. Tonawanda, that's about half way between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. I like to think we are far enough away from both, besides having the country property helps to keep the sanity!!:D
Shawn.. Your older brother is not alone his opinion of our senators.. they really leave alot to be desired!!
faucettb.. I think I'll pass on the wolves!! Thanks for the offer though!!;)
flashhole... our club is really GREAT!! We have a 100 yd. outdoor range for any caliber, we have a 50 ft indoor for .22 rifles and any non-jacketed pistol round. We also have numerous outdoor archery ranges and a heated indoor 10 yd. archery range for league shooting.:)
