Things are looking interesting over in the Ruger camp again. 9 new firearms or designs in the last year. MSRP on this is $330, so that will put it at around $269 or so on the shelves, directly competing with the Kel Tec and other cheap brands, and stealing the thunder of Beretta with their $400+ price tag. It looks pretty cool, and snagfree, so it could a good little pocket gun. I would like to see one in .32 ACP also. I have a Mauser 1914 in .32 and its a fun gun to shoot, but it has some collector value and I don't want to shoot it too much. new things are cool too. :)

It's a shame that Ruger COPIED the Kel-Tec p3at. On the other hand, it's nice that Ruger is going to be financially behind the CCW movement.

Its a shame that how many companies have copied the 1911, its a shame that so many companies have copied the polymer frame from Glock (I know they weren't the first, but they were the first mainstream).
Seriously now, its all fair competition. I own a Kel Tec, and its a crappy gun, the trigger is horrible, the accuracy is abysmal, and the fit and finish is pretty poor.

too bad it was not released in 9mm [yet]
I'd buy one in 9mm.

I agree it should be in more calibers, thats the main advantage of the Kel Tec for now. I'm still hoping for a .32 ACP.

Oooh. I hadn't thought about that possibility. I'd just been thinking of getting one and seeing if it worked out better than my NAA Guardian. If it comes out in 9mm, I'll be all over it. But, at less than 0.9" wide, I'm not getting my hopes up for a 9mm.
If it is a copy of the Kel-Tec, I hope it's true DAO and not the sorta-DAO of the Kel-Tecs and the Glock.

It isn't a copy. Sit down and draw a "brand new" pocket-size semi-auto pistol. When you're done, it will look like...yup, a Kel-Tec or the LCP or any other pocket-sized semi-auto. What did you imagine it would look like, a key chain? The differences will be "under the hood." We'll know soon enough what those differences will be, and what effect they might have. In the meantime, it's good enough to know the company is finally building something that CAN be concealed.
