As I set here looking at the new Cabela's shooting catalog I see the new Bushnell Elite 6500 scope on the back page. I can't help thinking this might be a good single scope for both coyotes and the ground squirrel hunter.

The new 2.5 to 16 with a 44 foot field of view on low power seems to offer one of the widest field of views and power ratio's on the market for the money. Now to just go look thru one when I get up to Cabela's next time.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the scope makers deal with these new broad power range scopes. They say the optics are even better than the Elite 4500's.

I saw those also. For that price they better match the Leupold in clarity and so on. My Bushnell 4200's are not as good as my Leupold VX-III. The extreme wide range in power is a good selling point, but compared to the VX-III 4.5-14X50 (closest match, in my opinion), the Leupold is $100.00 cheaper. If the quality is the same or better, and you need the wider zoom capability, then $100.00 more is OK. Also, on my 4200 the point of impact changes slightly upon changing power, that doesn't happen with the Leupold. Either is miles ahead of Simmons or Weaver.

i would send that back to bushnell, the 4200's have a great reputation for accurate tracking and a solid POI with no shifting when chaging power settings. you're not getting what you paid for if you have that problem

I Just Put A 4.5x30 Elite 6500 On My Wby 30-378.it's Awesome! I Have A Swav. On My Other 30-378 And It Dosen't Outshine My Elite By An Extra $1000 If At All
