ok , i went to an estate sale over the weekend and picked up a bunch of reloading stuff for cheap. when i get done selling of what i dont want i should have gotten a rock chucker press for free. my question is should i keep it or sell it on e-bay and take that money and put it on a brand new one. the one i have now has loaded alot of rounds but still is in good shape it is a plain (RC) model i have been looking at the new supreme models i really like the fact you can move the handle since i am a lefty. but i should say i am just getting started reloading so i really wont know the difference anyway. any body have any words of WISDOM for me?????

I say you get the one you want be it a Rock Chucker or any other press. Rock Chucker presses are plenty strong so whether you keep the used or get a new one, you won't go wrong. This is one of the few times in life that you can indulge yourself so go for it!

Welcome to the forum ihuntbuck. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.
If your left handed sell them all and get the one that has the handle on both sides.

Over the years I've used a lot of presses. When I was growing up out in western Colorado in the late 60s my father instructed my five brothers and I in reloading. (I'll always remember my first round: 30-06. I immediately went outside and tested it. I was mighty proud.) Anyhow, for me the RC Supreme just has be better feel when compared to previous models. Two of my brothers feel the same way. It just seems to have a better "squish" feeling. I should also comment that I have tried a lot of other presses (Lee, Redding, and Dillon come to mind) but I alway find myself wishing I had my RC instead. True, preferences in such things can be highly personal; therefore, take this as just one other reloader's opinion.
P.s., I'm new to this Forum and have enjoyed browsing through y'all's post.

If you are reloading rifle rounds, you cannot beat the Rock Chucker Hands Down! I been reloading for 30 years, I still have my old standby Herders C press and scales, there is no doubt that you can spring a c press, and that is why after many years of reloading I bought a Rock Chucker. Now that I can no longer hunt, I have no big game rifles, but I shoot a lot of pistol rounds and I have to Dillons, and would like to have one more!
I would clean that R.C. you got at the estate sale, clean that ram real good, check the threads in the head real good, and if that ram shows no wear, if you can get by loading right handed, you are good to go!
Hope this helps Greg
