I recently bought a Traditions 209 sporter inline. I am planning on using patched balls to get used to shooting it. Any input as far as shooting it using Pyrodex powder and patched balls. I am going to use sabots for hunting.

I would highly suggest practicing with what you intend to shoot.

If that thing has a 1 in 28 twist like most inlines you will have to shoot a pretty light load of Pyrodex or any other powder to keep that round ball from stripping past the rifling and giving poor accuracy.
