I have been looking for a set of flip up lens covers for my Sightron S2 and was rather disappointed at what some manufacturers were offering. I called Sightron to see what they recommended. The Company they use is Quake inc. I must say, they are a far superior product than any others I have looked at. The kicker is that you can order direct from the manufacturer. The Sightron S2 has great clarity and light gathering characteristics to begin with, I opted for a Yellow front flip for low light and night hunting.
Here is what I found. Soft pliable rubber mounting, heavier springs, heavier gauge plastic, overall a better fit and finish made for withstanding cold temps. They are designed for standard and AO scopes. Total price: $16.95 for a pair, shipped. They retail for up to $16.95 for 1. $16.95 is the price of a pound of powder, or 100 bullets on sale. ( A cheap New England thing) Really nice, I would highly recommend them. Jim
