My brother has a line on a 45 Colt/45 acp Ruger. To my knowledge they were only made in blue and in the Blackhawk. This one is suposed to be stainless and in the Vaquero. He said the guy told him it was a limited edition. I asked for a picture.
Does this gun exist or is my brothers coworker mistaken?
If it does exist, what would the valur be? Thanks.

My old hunting partner has one of the Blackhawk convertibles in 45 Colt/45 ACP, I've never seen the Vaquero convertible. You might give Ruger an email to confirm that. I certainly don't see why it wouldn't be possible, pressures are certainly withing limits. It also could be a custom build, there's several folks such a Bowen that could do that. I haven't the faintest Idea what something like that would be worth.

It is also possible someone sent a 45 Vaquero back to Ruger and had a 45ACP cylinder fitted as well. I know they used to fit 22 Mag cylinders to Single Sixes or SBH grip frames to BHs if you sent them in. I forget the cost.

Every so often, Davidson's Distributors would have a run of "special edition" Rugers. They did offer in 2003-4, an exclusive model; Vaquero Dual Cylinder Special Limited Edition in bright stainless. It would have rosewood grips and either a 4 5/8" or a 5.5" barrel.
Orig. msrp was $600.
According to the Blue Book
100% = $525 (new in box w/papers, unfired, unturned)
98% = $450
95% = $395
90% = $350
Bear in mind, ANY gun is only worth what someone is willing to pay!

hello, RUGER has made a convertable vaquero in 45colt/45acp. I own a blue 4 5/8in. after returning the revolver to ruger to have the sight regulated to hit point of aim, I was pleased to discover both cylinders shot poa. Changing loads would change vertical impact but horizontal impact remained stable. Don't know if ruger made a stainless model but they did make a blue one. Oh, mine is an old model. thanks, Bill

Thanks for the help. I read an article on another site that said that they sold for $485 new. I guess it is the real deal. Thanks again for the help.
