Hi guys,

Been awhile since i have been on but i have a question.

My daughter has a newer model 94 that was under her bed in Oregon for a year,,,,, needles to say it is rusted bad. My question on a newer receiver can you sand it off an reblue? I have not worked on a newer one an heard the recievers have changed in the metal department.

Thanks Ron

Try some Brownells Oxpho-Blue cold blue . Go to their web site for instructions . Best cold blue I have found .

The receiver may not come out the same color as the barrel .

If you are not satisfied , you have not lost much . And can still try sending it off to het it hot blued .

God bless

If you can get access to a glass bead blaster, give it a try.
The glass seems to eradicate rust with a minimum of metal destruction.
