The thought has occurred to me before. Time to ask you folks.
Has anyone found a use for the plastic (hi-tech polymer) primer trays?
They have some unique features. Strong and uniform in size they are (from the same maker).
Other than gluing them together to make a box, I have not thought of a way to use them.
Any ideas out there?

I've just been chucking them for lots of years. I don't tell the wife though, she saves everything.

Be nice if there was a rebate program on them. Gun stores could pay a few cents for them and send them back to the primer manufacurers to reload them but probably too much trouble. I just toss mine also.

I recycle everything I can, but they and their cardboard sleeve brethren go into the recycling piles. I haven't taken the trash out in quite a while, it all gets composted or recycled, even my waste water is composted and used for irrigation.

Cheezywan, it must be pretty quiet out there in the midwest these days. I never even thought of saving them myself. But if you do come up with something, you're welcome to mine :)

Blizzard today Tman. I pitch them too. Most every time I am about to toss something I get an "itch" in my brain that asks; "Can I use that for something?" I have pondered on primer trays ever since I started making my own(80's). Never did come up with any good ideas.
With all the good folks on this board, I thought it was time to ask.
Shingles for a birdhouse might be worth a try?

Minature ice trays? For really small drinks when your freeloading friends come over.

Actually that might not be a bad idea. Every year we have a Halloween party with a lab theme. You know with all the mixed drinks in beakers and test tubes. Those mini ice cubes would be the perfect touch for the test tube drinks.

The large rifle sized, in those trays that have wide spaced holes, are fine for standing up 100 .224" cast bullets. With another tray over the noses, and a rubber band to hold the two ttrays together, makes a good way to stroe bullets without having them rattle around loose in a box.

Use a permanent marker and paint dots on the back of them for a super dominoes set. Permanent markers will keep folks from rubbing off the dots and changing them to the pieces they need.
