Attached is a picture of two types of bullets, the one on the right is what I load for use in the Rifle and Trapper, the bullets on the left have somewhat of a point on them but still maintain a flat nose,my question is, are the bullets on the left ok to shoot in the long guns? I look at them and remember the warning of pointed bullets in a mag tube, and am not sure what is acceptable or not.

The noses look larger than primer diameter, so they're OK.

The nose is larger than a primer diameter, but at some point loading or cycling, the angle of the point would come in contact with the primer unlike a full round nose, I guess this is what I was concerned about, not as much recoil in the tube, maybe hitting in the event of a jam? A buddy gave me about 1000 of these, so I hope the positive feedback continues.
Agree with Jack - I wouldn't worry about them. Even if there is a slight offset in the tube, there is plenty of meplat to guard against a point or edge coming in contact with the centered primer of another case.

Too bad they don't make harder pistol primers like the CCI 34s. I suspect that is how Hornady is able to make their Leverevolutions work as well, and why they don't sell those bullets to reloaders.
