As one of the newbies, I am somewhat at a loss as to some of the explanations used on the forum.

what is a:

Beartooth Regular?
Moderator?
Administrator?

And since I am a real for true Hill Billy (since moving to IA, they prefer that I refer to myself as a Mountain William, just plain heady ain't it!) I do not have the slightest idea as to the text shorthand that is often used.

I assumed that OBTW is oh, by the way but after that I am lost.

A Beartooth Regular is a member with a certain number of posts.

A Moderator is a volunteer whom both answers questions and when necessary asks folks to calm down if they get carried away on a subject. Were non-paid folks whom just like shooting, hunting, gunsmithing and guns in general that have been ask by the forum owner to help with this forum.

The Administrator is the owner of the forum.

Hope that helps you out some.

There's a lot of shorthand used on the net, and if you think it's bad here, check out a site that teenagers use. :D

I guess my reply of GROOVY says it all. I will take a look at net lingo so I can be cool, too. In a couple of years my oldest grandaughter will be able to tutor me on the latest version of cool.

I think it's 25. largin89 has made it and he's at 27. You need 25 to post items for sale or trade. Otherwise it doesn't mean much.

There's a few other odds-and-ends titles; some I just made up (ask kdub what a "troll whisperer" is) :D

A lot of sites have many different levels/titles depending on how long you've been there or how many posts you have.

Some of this is just for our own amusement; don't read too much into it.
