I cast lee t.l. 240 swc, lubed with alox and I cant get any kind of accuracy at all . more like "patterns" than groups-6 or 7 inches at 15 yds. I tried ww, 30 to 1 lead-tin, sized and unsized cases. Loader from 4 to 6.5 gr bullseye and up to 8 gr. universal. I have some commerical 240 gr. swc-bevel base and these shoot decent and noting the ww clips laying around his shop I would guess ww as the primary alloy. should I give up on the lee bullet? Do I need a hotter load, lighter load, different powder? any ideas would be appricated

Welcome to the forum morrow8. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.
I shoot two of the TL Lee bullets, a 146 grain .357 wadcutter and a 210 grain .410 in my Taurus 41 mag and both seem very accurate. I shoot them unsized as cast from Wheel weight lead.
I don't know what your shooting them, but how are they compared to the size of the throats of the revolver your shooting them in. I'm shooting them with both Unique and tite group. The 38 wadcutter is shot in both a Taurus snubby 2 inch and a Colt Trooper MKIII four inch gun. Are you tumble lubeing these with the liquid alox?
Only thing I've found with the tumble lube bullets is they like to be on the hard side to shoot well and they don't do well unless lubed with the liquid alox.

.I am shooting them in a ruger redhawik. chamber throats measure .4325 and the barrel groves measure the same (as close as I can measure with dial calipers)the bullets caliper .431-.432, depending where I measure.I use them unsized and tumbled with lee liquid alox . Should I try them harder? maybe water quenched right from the mold>thank you faucettb<

I've never water quenched, but you might try harder. Your throats are OK and the bullets seem OK. I've been shooting both wheel weight and linotype for lots of years and only save the soft lead for the muzzle loaders.
