Is rifle shooter or handloader a quality magazine for rifle information or is there any other informative magazine? Thanks.
Only ones I suscribe to any more are Rifle, Handloader and Successful Hunter. All Wolfe publications. I'm tired of reading of all the 1911 and assault rifle clones in the other rags.

I'm not a serious a handloader (as many of this forum are) and haven't shot big bore competition since the early 60s, but I find Peterson's "RifleShooter" to usually have a few articles that interest me.

I agree with kdub entirely. Since the Zumbo fiasco, it seems that everyone has to try and rationialize the use of military lookalikes for sporting purposes. Even Rifle did so this month. The Wolfe publications don't seem to be beholding to the advertisers as much as G&A, Shooting Times, etc. I particularly enjoy John Barsness. He's not always trying to sell you the newest laser sighted, plastic stocked, overpriced piece of junk that just hit the market. Instead, you get common sense info from a very knowledgeable guy.
