i have an old rifle. it has Beretta stamped on top, Gardone V.T. 1929 on the left side and serial numbers on the right. all the research i have found shows the Beretta Gardone is a pistol in .308 cal. Any and all help is very appreciated.

If military, Mannlicher Carcano in 6.5x52. Not bad rifles, but they get very little respect.
