Has anyone had any experience with this ammo from Remington? Their website is showing some awesome velocities and energies with this bullet in 270 wsm , 30-06, 7mm Rem mag. I have shot their core lock ultra bullets over a chronograph and they had actually more velocity than advertised. I may get a box and shoot em just to see how fast these AccuTips will really shoot. I wonder how they perform on whitetail. Wish I could get my hands on some bullets to reload just to try em out. If anyone has shot these let me hear how you liked or disliked them.

I don't know who makes them or exactly what they are, but if they have a plastic tip on them don't hit the parts you plan on eating.

That's been my experience with the really pointy type of bullets and frankly I am more of a fan of the usual Core-Lokt.

Hope that someone else has more specific information.

Since I posted this thread I did some searching around for more info on the accutip. It seems these bullets are actually Hornady Interbond bullets made special for Remington. I tried shooting interbonds in my 7mm saum and could not achieve an accurate group. Never hunted with them. I just was curious how the Remington Accutip performed.

I believe the Accutip is a Hornady SST (not Interbond -similar to Nosler Balistic Tip). They can be very accurate but the Interbond (similar to Nosler Accubond) is a tougher bullet and better suited to wsm\saum velocities. I could not understand why Remington didn't use Accutips in heavier for caliber bullets to give them a little insurance for deer sized game. If they didn't shoot well in your rifle I be inclined to first look at a different bullet weight- no matter what flavor.
