There's an interesting development in the Ariz. State legislature. Rep. Karen Johnson (R) has sponsored a bill giving the right to CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons) holders to carry firearms on state universities and junior colleges grounds. The measure has passed the Review and Judiciary Committees and is headed to the floor. Arizona is a pretty pro-gun state, but the bill is being protested by the Association of Police Chiefs and the College Regents.

Ms. Johnson is a staunch supporter and good friend of the NRA. Let's hope her bill will receive the support of the legislature and becomes law.

Idaho college deans are fighting this tooth and nail right now. As of now students and CCW holders cannot carry on Idaho campuses legally, though you can carry a weapon into any city hall in Idaho.
