after purchasing a '90 model ruger m77 i began looking for accessories for it. i've noticed plenty of items for the mk2, but little for the original. what did ruger change in the gun? if anyone knows anywhere that sales accessories for my gun ( mainly looking for a stock ) please let me know. any help would be much appreciated.

Basically the 77 MKII was a new gun. The original tang safety adjustable trigger gun was given a new action, stock and trigger. There are still a few folks making stocks for them and there is a fella out there that will duplicate your original stock. I used to recommend Richards Micro-fit, but see lots of folks not getting the quality they used to make now.

Check out Brownell's and Midway they may have some parts for the old 77's and there's still aftermarket triggers made by Timney for them.
