Hello everyone. I have recently started to coyote hunt with a friend that moved here from out west... only one problem, we have nowhere to hunt. Can anyone give me some tips or suggestions on a place to hunt

.....but the potential for a place.

Don't know where ya at in Fla. but up here in the NW, land is scarce due to all the hunting clubs.

Ask around at the larger farms. Promise to ONLY hunt/kill yotes. Promise to treat the property as you would your own. Make it a point to state how safe you are. Let the property owner know that you will keep him informed about other people that show up on his property. Enter and exit at the location designated by him. DON'T drive in ANY field. Make it a point to show him every yote that you kill. Supply him with your name, address, and phone number. Promise him that you will never bring people with you to hunt that you have not informed him about. And if you bring a friend,YOU will be responsible for their behavior.

I hunted farms in rural Maine for years, and built up a reputation among the farmers as a "good guy". I took tons of yotes off their cattle, chicken, hog, and goat farms. They were very pleased, and so was I. It was a great relationship.

As time went by,I was eventully asked back for a deer and turkey hunt.

I miss that kind of hunting. And being around those kind of hard working people.

I need to get off my butt and hit a couple of the larger farms in my area. I sure could get back into yote huntin'. -----pruhdlr
