In the previous incarnation, this website (and topic) had a recipe listed by someone for smoked trout. I have always meant to try it and plan to this New Year's Eve. Unfortunately that recipe is no longer here.

Could the original poster (or someone) give me a pointer to this recipe?

Go back to the recipes forum, but look at the controls on the bottom and make sure you are looking at posts 'from the beginning' instead of the default 'last 100 days.' Marshall has one recipe and Gatofeo has the other. I've tried Gatofeo's recipe on salmon and thought it was delicious.
