Okay so i have been wanting to ask this question for a while and thought that this is as good a time as any. Also i hope this goes in the general discussion area if not mods please do move it. Well the question is... in your everyday life when you see the numbers of gun calibers or gun models do you think of them and daydream about them. if you are confused which most likely you will be here is an example. One day when i was in walmart a bought something and with tax it came to 2.23 dollars. I paid and got my candybar. As i was walking out i began to think, bullet weights of 223, if i could get one gun in 223 what would it be, and so on and so forth. i was just wondering if any of you other guys did this kind of thing or atleast something similar to it. Hopefully i am not alone:o.

Studly,
Of course I do that but not while shopping since I never, well almost never buy retail from anywhere other than on line. I can find everything I can't afford and dream and learn right here from my gun room. I always want more but don't need more. I rationally know that but can't control the urges.

My wife and I were shopping at the local Walmart the other evening. As we were checking out my wife asked me what was wrong. I replied that nothing was wrong and why did she ask. She said that we had been in the store for over an hour and I had not been to the gun department. It is bad when your wife even notices your problem. Now she was upset because I went back in the store.

Ok, I confess...license plates. I always notice the ones that are caliber numbers.

Yup...license plates. That has to be the mark of the truly far-gone gun loony, the real boom-boom brain.

And here I thought it was just me!

I have to change the Gate Combination every week here at the Park, And You guessed it! Every combination is either an old caliber, ie. 32-20 or a like number, or a powder Identification number.:D

Every time I look at a digital clock I think of a different caliber. Think 3:08, 7:08, 3:57, 7:57,etc.
