Haven't heard of that one. Must be a .454 Casull brass that is necked down to accept a .429 bullet.
Should be akin to the .440 Corbon(44 in 50A&E) only a little more power.
Headspace on the shoulder and all, what would the cylinder redo cost be ??
Would be interesting in a 16" carbine also.
What would the pressures be limited to given the Casull is 65K ?? -----pruhdlr

What's the point? What are you trying to achieve? Your round should get slightly higher velocity with the slightly smaller and lighter bullet, also with less power, due to the smaller surface area of the bullet for the gas pressure to react against.
If you are wanting to neck down to a smaller caliber, how about going a step farther down to a .41 or .40 caliber? Might have to do some research on making the bottleneck cases work in a revolver though. Gary Reeder seems to make it work, but I got jumped on last time I asked about it here.

Not much more than 100 fps. velociy gain / a royal pain in the back side making dies and something I will no longer persue....
On the other hand though, my 357X460 is doing very well ie., 460 S&W necked down to take a .358 diameter bullet. This one I will be offering once I have substantial loading data....

AI have a TC Encore 20" Bullberry Rifle barrel chambered in SW460Mag that I fired some 460mag ammo threw but then I tried some Magtech 260 jacketed FP 454 casull ammo & it really had a lot more recoil than any of the commercial ammo I've fired.
