Georgia's House Bill 89 stands to fix a lot of the "public gathering" restrictions on carrying firearms (the ones that can send us to jail for 20 years if we get too close to a bus stop, for example). However, the Senate is trying to stall the bill over some small things. We're trying to put a lot of (polite!) pressure on them to pass the amendments as written. Part of that is an online petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/GAHB89/petition.html), we hit 1400+ signatures in about 3 days but we could still use your help! The bill itself is detailed in the link; please sign on if you can. Even if you're not a Georgia resident, but just a visitor who wants to carry.
Please, look it over and get others looking at it if you can.
