Too many factors involved to even take a stab at this. You might check out some of the auction sites e.g. gunsamerica to get a ballpark figure. You could be an exceptional gunsmith, produce a perfect restoration, and have some collector tell you, "But, you've removed all of the patina!"

Marshall Kane has pegged it. Unless you are a well-recognized restorer of firearms, you may be removing whatever value it has beyond that of a shooter. That loss, depending on the exact model and age, could be many, many $$$.

If knowing what your rifle is worth is important to you, suggest you take it to a reputable appraiser. No one on this site can do as well since we would only have your description on condition, history, and possibly posted pictures to go by. IME, the most popular '92s were chambered for .44 WCF, followed by .38 WCF and .32-20 so they bring the best prices. FWIW, the last '92 that I asked about at a gun show was a .32-20 hex barrel, full magazine rifle, all original, but VERY used with maybe 10% remaining finish. The seller was asking $900 for it.

I have two 92 Winchesters in 32-20. One is in original unaltered condition and is in good condition. The other has been reblued and is also in good condition. My insurance appraiser has allowed an $1200 value on each gun. Hope this helps.
