I am considering placing an order for some cast bullets for my 22-250 and some for my 300 WSM rifles..With the cost of everything going up everyday it might be worth it so do target shooting with the lead..What bullets would you recommend I buy,and at what muzzle velocity
do you think I could run them at..Any suggestions on powder as well...I know.its alot to ask...Thanks guys John

Most generally, cast bullet velocities are kept under 2400 fps, but Lyman 48th lists a couple of their 55 gr. 22-250 cast bullets in the 28-3100 fps range in front of 748 or imr-4198 and the 2200 fps range is the fastes listed for their 300 wsm cast bullets. IMR-4198 are listed for both of those cast bullets (160 gr. and 180 gr.)

Thanks for the information..helpful in deed....With the high cost of things might as well be shooting the cast bullets..I know of a family in PA that used the cast bulllets for everything, target as well as deer hunting..Thanks again
