During the years I spent running a small gunsmith shop I've never had great luck with see thru scope mounts. I'd suggest regular mounts for your tracker. As for which bullet works best that depends on the rate of twist and your probably going to have to do some experimenting to find what shoots well in your rifle. A fast twist gun such as a 1 in 28 usually will perform well with the big conicals where a slow twist gun such as a 1 in 66 will perform better with round balls.

These rules are not set in stone so your going to have to do some shooting to find out for sure.

Get the scope as low as you can. See through mounts are a farse in my opinion.

Avoid the see thru mounts, they just put you one step closer to inaccuracy. Plus they increase you opportunities for becoming a member of "The Order of the Red Crescent."

That would be my polite evaluation of see-thru mounts!http://shootersforum.com/images/icons/icon13.gif

I'm for as low as scope dimensions will permit.http://shootersforum.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
