I have been looking at doing this and would love to see if someone else has tried it. I was shooting my Puma today, and even though I have changed the front to a bead. I can't hit sh**. Well it's not that bad. But I have a XS sight on my Marlin 1895 and I shoot pretty well with it.

I have a XS ghost ring sight on my puma 16 inch 357 . Seems to work ok , havent done a lot with it as yet . I actually prefer the smaller peep sight apartures so its takeing a bit of getting used to , But looks like a very rugged sight , dout it will get knocked out of alinment very easyily .
Sorry i cant send a pic , not that tecnically minded , and my daughter is in bed (she would no how ) . It needed drilling and taping to fit so i got a gun smith to fit it . I dont know why leaver actions dont come out of the factory with peep sights . Cant shoot the factory sights acuratly at all

I haven't as yet mounted the Ashley peep yet on the 92. I can sure as heck tell you how to do the job however. It requires little more than a level a good drill vise and tap, drill, transfer punch and hammer to get'er done. A spot of bedding compound to hold the sight in place while you transfer punch the drill marks and you are on your way. Remove the rear sight with a bit of heat to lift the bedding compound. Place the receiver in the drill press vise and level the rifle. Drill your two holes with a number #31 drill, keeping constant check on the level and remove from the vise and tap the two holes at 6x48. Use a starter tap and finish the holes with a plug tap. Clean out the holes with alcohol, let dry, put on some thread sealant and run the screws in and let dry.

Don't forget to level your drill press table, first before you do anything else.

Just traded for a 1895 with the XS site . Hope to shoot it this weekend .

Depending on how it works for me , I may order smaller and /or taller apertures .
