Has anybody ever used heard much about Vortex riflescopes.I was at a shop today and they had just got their first shipment in. While I was ther they were doing their own in house test on it. First they let it sit in the bait tank over night and then in the morning they pulled it out and put it in the freezer overnight, then immediatly put it on a carbon fiber barreled browning in 300 win mag, boresighted it and then shot 4 rounds one right after the other. After that they came up and checked the boresighter again and it stayed on zero. I looked through another and it seemed very clear. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with them or had heard anything about them. The price is about the same as Nikon buckmaster for the midrange scope and about the monarch for their top of the line.

They carry an unconditional lifetime warranty too... I'd consider them in the same class as Sightron and Nikon. They are excellent hunting rifle optics. I'm not certain as to who is making them.
