We've been having a good time shooting our rimfire lever matches now it's time to bring out their big brothers. For those of us who enjoy Ranch Dog's match this will give you warm-up for that.

Here are the rules for the match:

-Open to ALL Centerfire Leveraction Repeating Rifles, any caliber, any make... If you have multiple leverguns, you may submit an entry for each.

-Any Sight System is OK, though there will be separate scoring divisions; Magnified (ie. Scopes) and Non-Magnified (Opens, Peeps, some red Dots. )

-Target: Shooters choice, so long as it can be mailed and easily scored for group size.

-Scoring: Three Shot Group size; Distance between outside of the outermost holes minus the diameter of bullet = Group size. Smallest group wins.

-Distance: 50 AND/OR 100 yards. There will be categories for both distances. Shoot either or both.

-Position: Any, Benchrest, horseback or whatever legal and safe way you can shoot the most accurately.

-Target Due Date: May 15th 2008.

Side Match:

-Open to same as above
-All Sights allowed, all scored together but will be noted in the results.
-Target: 3x5 index card or 3"x5" sized target. An aiming point may be drawn or stuck on.
-Scoring: same as above
-Distance 25 yards
-Position: Offhand John Wayne Style.

Shoot as many targets as you like and send in your best. You may upgrade your target later if you shoot a better one and get it in before the due date - May 15, 2008.

PM or Email me for address information. Include the following information with your Target.

-Forum Name or name you wish to be listed in the results under
-Distance and Position used
-Rifle Make, Model and Caliber
-Ammo Used, if reloads please note bullet, powder and Primer used
-Sighting System used
-Shooting conditions, ie. outdoors / indoors, calm/ windy, rain / sun... etc

There are no prizes. I'm just giving you an excuse to shoot your Levergun and have some fun. Best of luck to all.
