About 5 years ago I was at the range and a few benches down an older guy was shooting an 1860 Army.
Guess he noticed me watching so he asked me if I'd like to try it. By this time I was already hooked so I said yes, please and he handed her over to me.
Imagine my surprise when I found out how different the sights were. I thought about that for a couple seconds, took aim and fired.
You never do get over that first "crack - boom", do you?
Two weeks ago I I completed another small rennovation contract job. Got paid and scheduled the next one.
Made the big mistake of wondering into my favorite gun shop and finding a stainless teel Ruger Old Army with adjustable sights.
Put it on layaway then and there.
Well, last weekend, I brought it home and having done a bunch of homework, I took it out, cleaned it, capped it, cleared the chambers, loaded it, then fired it.
Crack - boom!
Oh man. Just too cool. :D
Now it has me thinking BP for the Ruger #3 in 45-70.
Am I doomed? :p:rolleyes:
