Saints

We met with the doctor today at noon regarding my dad's health. His cancer is aggressive, so our treatment must be aggressive. Starting next week he’ll go 5 times a week for radiation treatment and this will last 6-8 weeks. This is in addition to the chemotherapy and bone treatments. If my dad elected to do nothing he would last but 6 months or so. Pray for the effectiveness of these treatments, and the eradication of the cancer, whether it be by treatments or divine healing.

Dad is a believer, and not anxious about death, but he doesn't want to leave my mom or us any sooner than need be.

Thanks

Lord,
We as your children ask you collectively to work your miracles upon David's dad, another of your children. Father may you be glorified in this process. Father we love you and pray for your miraculous healing for Dave's dad and for his continued strength and comfort. Father please lead the hands of his health care professionals in this task. Father in all things we thank you for your loving kindness and grace. May peace be upon the family and your will be done!
In the name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus,
Amen

Sorry but I just saw this thread. I will keep your dad, you and your family in prayer. The good news is God is good and the worst thing that can possibly happen is mighty good. I also pray the suffering is little, the healing is good and the praise is great.

I will also keep your dad, and family in my thoughts and prayers. I know how important they are. My mom is fighting lung cancer now. She had the lung removed right after Thanksgiving. They think they got it all, but she is still very weak from the ordeal.

Best wishes to all of you.

God has taught us to ask and we will receive. God we ask that you touch David's dad and heal him, we rebuke cancer and request your peace for David's dad and all their family. We also request a special blessing for the doctors that are fighting this with David's dad we ask you send your angels down and surround them with you protection.
We do this in your almighty name.
Amen

Dad's going downhill, the doctor's giving him 2-6 months. From the look of him it looks like 2-6 weeks. The prostate cancer has gone to his spine, lymph nodes, etc. Not good; incurable His request is an immediate transfer to heaven should divine healing not be his heavenly Father's plan. I'm asking for prayers that God would be merciful to my dad...one way or the other. Thanks.

God is always merciful. You and your family remain in my prayers. I hope you enjoy the remaining time with your dad. No matter how bad it might be, his reward is not far away. New body, peace and eternity with the source of love.

Praise God that your dad is going home. Praise God that you will see him there. No guilt in life. No fear in death.

Sir,

Your father is in the best hands he can be in, your mother will need your strength. I've lost both parents and know how hard it is. That person(s) that always had your back will be gone, and it's never the same again. So please take care of yourself also.

Dan

Father,
We pray for our friend David and his father who is one of your own. Lord comfort David and his family and give them your strength. Lord if it be time then heal Davids father of all earthly affliction. Father if it be your will then call your son home. Father through death all sickness is healed and then we are reborn through the salvation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lord we thank you for David's dad's salvation and his time spent on this earth. Lord, David's dad asked for a transfer and if it be your will then make it come quickly.

Father, again may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,
Amen

Dad is slipping fast, and I need to say my goodbyes soon. Thankfully lots of "I love you"s have been said over the years, with no unfinished business between us. It's hard to see Dad this way, after knowing his vigor until only 2-3 months ago. I'd appreciate your prayers through this hard time for the Lord's grace and peace for the family and mercy for my dad.

Well, Dad's transfer came through at about 7:30 PM tonight. This is a direct answer to prayers I was praying at midnight. He went very peacefully with my sister present. We gathered around his bed afterwards and thanked God for his life which was such a gift to us, releasing him to a heavenly home. My mom was at peace.

Thanks for all the prayers; they have meant so much to me during this time.

N2L,

I am so happy that your earthly Father is with our Heavenly Father. Healed and in his new and glorified body. To be forever in His presence must be awesomely amazing! Can't wait but will wait as He has work still for us to accomplish in His name!

Now I am so sorry for your temporary loss! It will be but a matter of moments until we are all reunited in His presence! Stay strong and ever faithful!

God bless you, your mom and the rest of your earthly family,
Greg

Thanks so much guys. Your words are a welcome reminder regarding eternal perspective. The memorial service was very honoring, even celebratory, and not gloomy. There were some who spoke that Dad had led to Christ years earlier. The gospel was given; Dad wouldn't have had it any other way. He had lived in such a way that there was a lot to say, a lot to celebrate.

It's been healing to be able to write regarding these difficult times here on the forum. Thank you for indulging me. I'm glad Marshall has a cross-wire section. It's certainly benefited me personally. Thanks to all.

David,
So very thankful for a life lived in Christ's name and for His glory. No more precious words can be said than "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Your father has heard those words personally and is now in the presence of the Most High! Thank you for allowing us to share in your fathers life and transfer. Glad that you were here among friends and brothers in Christ.
God bless,
Greg
