I put a Bushnell 4200 3-9x40 scope on my .308 Savage Warrior and boresighted it in a vise at bright piece of cloth the size of a quarter stapled to a tree 25 yards out the shop door. I took it to the range today. Never had to even open up the windage and elevation dials. That's the first time that's happened to me. A small cloverleaf on the bull w/ three shots at 25 yards. At 50 it hit about 3/4 inch high and windage was perfect. I've never even shot at anything over 105 yards away, so I figured I'd leave it at that. Remington Express Ammo, 150 grain Corelokts.:)

Have heard good things about the Bushnell 4200 serics scopes.

Did the box say where it was manufactured?

Japan. I guess that explains the sushi smell when I first opened the box!

Sniper Central is offering a rifle package that comes with the Bushnell 3200 10x tactical scope, which has a street price just under $200. After inquiring about the optics with the thought of an upgrade, I was basically told that I could improve the glass, but the scope is more than accurate enough and I wouldn't really gain any real improvements on accuracy.

It appears that Bushnell is doing some things right in the rifle optics department.

that is deffinatly true when it comes to the Elite line of scopes by bushnell. they are the old Baush & Lomb line of scopes, now with the bushnell name instead of the B&L name.

The 4200 also has rainguard which reportedly works great. No personal experience with the Elite but I have read untold numbers of good reports by satisfied, happy owners.
