Does any one know what brand of recoil pad rossi use on the 454 casull?

Reason being I have a 44 mag that get shot off the bench a lot with full hous loads and that steel butt plate gets to me after a couple of rounds. I've looked up sites like limbsaver, kick eez and pachmyr though all of their measurments seem to big. Though I might have to cut the stock to get it looking neat as the steel butt plate on there curls around the stock toward the barrel about an inch on the top side.

I though of maybe getting a 454 stock, would it fit? I have e-mailed rossi and recieved no reply yet. Does anyone know where you can buy a stock like this?

I'm pretty much a perfectionist so it has to be neat, no leather or rubber slip on suggestions please.

Thanks
Rick

No idea what pad Rossi uses. But typically, you buy a pad that's too big and fit it to the stock. It's not that big a job, but a lot of patience is required , and a belt sander, used very carefully, is a major advantage.

Your talking about a carbine steel butt pad that's inletted into the stock. These can be a PITA to replace if you want a rubber recoil pad. If you want it to look factory your about stuck replacing the stock to keep the same length of pull without butchering the stock.

I think getting hold of Rossi/Taurus and simply getting a replacement stock with a standard rubber recoil pad is your best bet.

Leave the stock as it is. Buy a PAST sissy pad. Strap it on, and you can shoot all of the guns you own without any problem. You can even put your shirt on over the pad and nobody will know that you are cheating.
