Anybody know (preferrably from personal experience) any good place in PA for Hog hunting? I want to shoot with my T/C contender, and would like to stay in-state if possible.
Thanks much!

there are several game farms in potter and tioga couties that you can hunt for a fee. I've heard about cull hunts in juniata county I believe, about all I know

I hunted at Tioga summer of 2006. Its a high fence operation. They advertise wild boar but bulk of the animals are feral hogs trapped in Florida. They are plenty wild but very few weigh more than 120 lbs or so. It annoyed me that size of hogs did not match their brochure.

Lodging is sort of run down.

The served food is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. My guide was Karl and I recommend him to anyone.

.....that the operations in PA. are pretty much "put and take"(canned hunts).

If that's your bag then.........?

Down here in Flah Dah is where it's at. I killed 5 last year between late Oct and last of Feb. Smallest was 145lbs. All are eatin' just fine. Especially heavily smoked.

Good huntin'. -----pruhdlr

My friend, contact the Pennsylvania Game commission, at this address PGC.state.pa.us, and they will be more than glad to supply you with the info you seek.

What part of Pa. are you from? There are only 2 or 3 counties that prohibit wild hog hunting. The northeast has wild hogs and they can be hunted year round, no limit, no fee.

Wyoming, Bradford and Susquehanna Counties have healthy populations of feral pigs. A friend shot a rather large one just late last month.
Most farmers would be glad to allow you to hunt the vermin. Just knock and ask.
Good luck,

The Rte 422 corridor between Strongstown and Ebensburg has a population of wild hogs a bit closer home to you. You may have to do some legwork and research to find where they've been seen recently (as there's a WHOLE LOT of real estate in there). But there's hogs in there.

Mohr's Island Hunts near Lancaster has an Island hunt advertised. It's put & take on a 200 acre Island in the Susquehanna river. They also have rams & other game animals. Don't have any personal knowledge of them, though.
