How many of us are members of the NRA's Firearms Classic Library?

If you enjoy old firearms books, Samworths in particular this is an extremly good deal. Books by Keith, Crossman, Landis, Whelen etc are in the series. The books are leather bound and feature a new introduction by Jim Casada which reviews the publishing history and gives some biographical history on the author. The books are $30.00 and there is a money back guaranty. As most of us are aware the price on some of the Samworths has risen so high that this is a real bargin. Keith's Rifles for Large Game is one of the offering. This is a rare book and a good collectors copy will bring four times the FCL asking price. With the smaller soft cover Samworths you can do more than $30.00 worth of damage just by reading them.
The FCL is a good deal and helps the NRA.

Thanks Slim, I am going to do some browsing tonight!
:) I've been a subscriber to NRA FCL for some time now and have a cabinet full of them. They are beautifully bound and are full of excellent information, despite their "outdatedness".:D

Hmmmm, tried that link and can't get it to show me a list of what's in the FCL. Thoughts? Anybody have a listing of all the books, and the order you would expect to receive them in?

Mike, I dont know if this will work or not. I have these in a spread sheet. I converted it to Word. I'll try to paste it.
As you can see the majority of the Samworths have been done.
My wife has written to both Dr. Jim Casada and the FCL President Ms. Amanda Adams (her father did the Second Amendment Primer and the Bill of Rights Primer for the NRA) they have both responded personaly to her letters. I think this is a pretty good deal on gun books.

The latest book from the FCL came yesterday. It is Charles Landis Twenty Two Caliber Varmint Rifles, a great book. Landis says in the introduction: "The author has endeavored to make this a book which the rifle crank and the varmint hunter will find of such interest that he will keep it in his shooting library throughout his lifetime - in other words that he will regard it as hits .22 caliber varmint rifle Bible, and hand it down to the next of line in his family as a true record of what was possible with .22 rifles and cartridges during his liftime."
I believe he was succesful. I got my firt copy of this book from a shooting Uncle many years ago.If you have ever been frustrated trying to measure shoulder angles on wildcat cartridges there is a good template on page 196.
This is an interesting and worthwhile book.
