Does anyone have any information on load development for the 325 Grain WFNGC Beartooth for the 475 Linebaugh? I am looking for a good starting point that would get around 900 FPS out of a 4 3/4 inch FA and then take that on up to 1,400 or 1,450.

I've never shot any bullets that light out of mine. It was designed with heavy bullets in mind, and it shoots them exceptionally well. I use a 420 grain WFN at a hair over 1,300 fps, but you can load it down to less punishing levels. Is there a reason you want to use such light bullets?

The Freedom will shoot more accurately with around 325 to 350 gr's with 400 top for the lighter loads. After that groups will be larger although OK for hunting. The twist is slower so with the heavier boolits loads need to be near top.
I would say the lighter practice loads will be more accurate with the lighter boolits and the heavy hunting loads are better with a heavier boolit. I don't know what the light boolit will do if pushed to max.
Whitworth, you can see it with your SRH that needs more powder then my BFR with the same boolit. The reason is the twist.
I would be interested in what the 325 gr will do as far as groups because John has a Freedom and he hasn't shot it in 2 years because of the recoil. He doesn't hunt and if I can come up with a super accurate, light boolit load maybe he will bring his safe queen out more often. :D

SJ, try 14 to 15 gr's of HS-6 for a lighter load. I have some data for the 350 gr and you can use those loads to start.
9 gr's of WW231 gives 922 fps, 10 is 963 fps.
21.5 gr's of Blue Dot is 1358 fps.
28.5 gr's of 2400 is 1460 fps.
33 gr's of 296 is 1534 fps but be carefull with this powder and H110, I don't know how much you can reduce it with the lighter boolit.
See what someone else will post so you can make a decision.
Sorry I can't be more help but you can get hold of Beartooth boolits and they should be able to give better info.
Printed loads for all of the boolits is sparse.

If you start with 8 grains of Tite Group, you should be shooting at about 800fps. Max is only going to be around around 1150fps with 12gr.

May I ask as to why such a light bullet?
