Hey all

not sure which forum this would fit into... if this is the wrong one i'll repost.

I've got my new VS-SF II on order, dealer says 3 weeks to wait, hopefully.
Anyway, it'll be what i suppose you people over the Atlantic would call a Varminter, in that it'll be used to take out things around the size of foxes from as far away as possible :p
Anyway, i was wondering what you people would suggest I get in the way of accessories etc? I've chosen a scope (Schmit&Bender 4-12x42), i've got a sling, and will find a bipod. Can you people think of anything else I need? oh, and we dont have any bench shooting here, you use your Bipod or car and like it :p

I use a range finder for coyote sets. Usually just range the area I'm calling in so when a coyote shows up I know how far I'm shooting and where to hold for each range. I also use it when I'm ground squirrel hunting.

I have a sit down bipod that gets used a bunch. For calling coyote I wear a turkey vest. I may do 4 to a dozen sets in a morning and the vest holds the calls, a water bottle and perhaps my lunch and has both a fold down seat and a back pad for leaning up against something.

Guess it's down to basics for me, a scoped rifle, bino's and rangefinder. I shoot prairie dogs, jackrabbits and other varmints from the ATV. The front rack has a 20mm ammo box with a chunk of 4x4 redwood fastened to the lid for a rifle rest. The ammo box holds ammo (of course) gun cleaning stuff, snacks, drink and whatever else I deem necessary at the time.

Hunting prediators is a different deal, have scoped and slung rifle and binos. The backpack carries shooting sticks, calls, coyote drag, rangefinder, spare knife, hatchet, lighter, flashlight, hand warmers and some extra clothing. Lot of times I still use the ATV to move into an area, hide it and walk to the set.
