I need help in identifying the manufacturer of a rifle barrel. It is chambered in 30-06, is stainless steel and has the identification of "DUG-X" on it. Anyone know who manufactured this barrel?

Sounds like a Douglas barrel. They have a website so you might ask them, but that would be my bet. JB you beat me to it.

Thanks. Upon further examination, removal of dust etc, the barrel is marked "30-06" "Ed Paul" and then stamped DUG-X.I think the DUG-X is the barrl contour. Anyone ever hear of Ed Paul?

Ed Paul is probably the gunsmith whom installed the barrel. Douglas is probably the folks whom manufactured the barrel. You could do a search on Ed Paul and see if he is still around.

Lots of Douglas barrels out there and their still being made.
