TedH shot a nice boar hog this evening on first first afternoon of hunting. He shot it with his 336ER (356 Win)!

That's great news. I've been watching for your report of the hunt and am glad to read that the hogs are cooperating.
Congrats to TedH.
Good going Ted. That is a big ol' hog.

Great news, and congrats!
That hog had the honor of being the first critter to fall to my 356, at least since I've owned it. He bled very, very little and after a short search we found him piled up in the brush about 100 yards from where he was shot. I hit him a bit high, but the bullet took out the liver and one lung.
We finished up the hunt yesterday without killing any more hogs, but man what a great time we had! Michael treated us like family from the start and did everything he could to get us in the hogs. We simply couldn't have asked for more. The hunting was excellent, but just as important, we had a great time with Michael and his family when we weren't hunting.
Big thanks to Michael and his family for showing us such a good time. My bud that went with me said it was the most enjoyable hunt he's ever been on, and I would have to agree.
I might sit out the Hog Hunt drawing this year to give someone else the chance for the Hunt, but you better believe I'll back in it the next year.:)

Sounds like a really great time...can't figure out why more folks don't shoot at least one target to send in just for that chance
