Anyone have a recommendation on a paddle holster for a 6" Colt Python? I thought about using a leather holster but I know that eventually the leather will wear the finish on the gun. I've also found some paddle holsters such as the one from Uncle Mike's; but those seem to max out at 4". Thanks.

Personally, I don't care for paddle holsters, but to each his own. As for leather vs. nylon, you might be surprised to find a nylon holster will wear bluing faster than a quality, well-fitted leather one. It is not so much the material the holster is made of that wears the blue but poor fitting which allows the gun to move inside the holster, every time you move and not just when you draw or holster. Get one that is tightly fitted and eliminates all movement of the gun when holstered and you will eliminate a whole lot of wear.
