I recently added another 94 to my collection in 44 mag. with a 20" barrel, the vintage is 1969. This is my first 44 mag. This will be used as a camp rifle and for some plinking. Can I use 44 special ammo in this rifle?
Thank you,

Unless it is as picky as my marlin was about feeding it should be fine.

Thank you,A round, flat nose will feed best. I had difficulty with the shorter 44Spl semi-wadcutters in mine.

Should work great. Note, you may get a little build-up of crud at the front of the chambers due to the shorter .44 special case. Not a big deal, just keep it clean.

If you handload it's probably simplest and easiest to use .44 special data in .44 mag brass.

As noted, there are sometimes issues with feeding, but you probably won't be expecting to empty a tube full of specials in a hurry, generally.
