I just ordered a box of the Speer Gold Dot 200 grain Short Barrel bullets to load for my 44 magnum and 44 special. I read some where that these bullets should only be loaded to 44 special velocitys. I am assuming that the jacket on these bullets is thinner. Would there be any harm in loading these up to what most of us consider a hotter magnum load in a magnum case? What could possibly happen? I may end up shooting some of these through my marlin 94 for woodchucks. Thanks for any advice.

Go check them out at speer's website: http://www.speer-bullets.com/ .
Basically they seem to be a bullet designed to expand at lower velocities found often with short barrel handguns. I also ordered some for my smith sub nose in .38 special. I think the hollow point may be more hollow than the norm and the copper jacket may be thinner also.
