I recently purchased a glock g30. when I load all 10 rounds in the magazine it takes a pretty hard tap on the magazine base to secure it in the frame. My beretta 92fs doesn't have this problem. Is this a design problem with my g30? I don't even remember having this problem with my old glock g21.

Does it do this if the action is locked open? I'm not a glock guy so bear with me.

yes. it takes a good hard tap on the magazine butt even with action open. I just called glock technical service and the rep said this is common with new magazines with the g30. he said to load magazines to max 10 rounds and leave them this way for 2-3 weeks. he said the magazine springs will relax to where it takes less effort to load the magazines into the frame.
